60 Seconds with Frocks on Bikes Frock and Roll Fashion Show - New Events
What is the best thing about your event?
That the event will appeal to both bikers and non-bikers
What sort of people do you think would most enjoy your event?
People who enjoy good music, fashion and people who are passionate about bikes
What do you like most about being a part of the Rotorua Bike Festival?
It is a great opportunity for us (Council) to be part of a festival which encourages our community to be active, to live sustainably and to have a lot of fun at the same time. We are trying to encourage people to get out of their cars and back on bikes, and a way to do that is to remove barriers which may be holding them back. Rotorua is a biking-paradise but only a small proportion of people who live here are urban bikers or commuters. We are attempting to send the message out that you don’t have to fit any stereotype to experience the benefits of biking.
What is unique about your event that none of the other festival events has?
Is there anything else you would like everyone to know about your event?
Come on down, free entry!
Tell us a bit about you/the team as event organisers.
Sustainable Transport team - Rotorua Lakes Council. We look after the planning and implementation of urban cycleways, road safety, education, bus stops, accessibility
Who are the rad peppes that make your event possible?
We don’t have any sponsors as such, but we have an assortment of fabulous people in the community who have offered their time and energy for free, both as models, as entertainment and use of their facilities.
